Post to the New Forum

The web site is rolling out a forum (bulletin board) where alum can catch up, do Association business, or just shoot the breeze.

The forum is in Beta phase, which means that there may be some bugs or kinks that we need to work out of the system. There is a forum under General Discussion called Complaint Department that you can use to indicate any problems, let us know how you like it, or e-mail forum[AT]fightingbraves.org .

Welcome to the Augustinian Academy Alumni Association!

The Augustinian Academy Alumni Association was founded in 1987 to support Catholic secondary education by awarding scholarships to worthy students whose fathers attended Augustinian Academy in Saint Louis, MO and to bring together alumni, former faculty, and religious personnel to renew old friendships and forge new ones.

This site is dedicated to Fr. Jack Gavin, OSA, without whom this association would not be in existence.

Site Dedication

This site is dedicated to Fr. Jack Gavin, OSA. Fr. Jack was directly responsible for the foundation of the Alumni Association. Without his foresight and direction the Scholarship Fund would still be a dream. Fr. Jack served as principal of the Academy from 1968 until our doors were closed for the final time in 1972. Always a friend, Fr. Jack always had a kind word and took the hand that was dealt him like a trooper. He recently had his parish closed by the Archdiocese of St. Louis; even though this was a sad event it was with great celebration that he closed Immaculate Conception Parish.

Fr. Jack recently underwent a knee replacement. After several months recuperation the Provincial decided it was time for Fr. Jack to return to Chicago. He can now be reached at:
